Buehler Park is located in Rolla, Missouri, a small college town 100 miles southwest of St. Louis on Interstate-44 (map). That college, the University of Missouri-Rolla (UMR), is a world-renowned institution known for its excellence in engineering and the applied sciences. Formerly the Missouri School of Mines (MSM), it joined the University of Missouri system in the late 1960's, thus becoming UMR as it is commonly known.
